Open Primary with Portillo for Battersea

Having commented on the potential "voluntary" all-women shortlist for Battersea, I heard a rumour last night that the Association went for the Open Primary format in the end (there may yet only be women in it). I also heard at the same time that Michael Portillo will host the primary in a simlar manner to the way he did for the selection of David Gold in Eltham.
