Calm down dear.. it's just Panorama

BBC professionalism at it's very best?

When I showed the video to Croydonian his comment was that he "sounds like Paisley on crystal meth".

Except if you watched the entire programme you'd see he didn't really lose it, he just responded in kind having been provoked for many weeks

I think he was totally in order. I don't know much about these Scientologist but I smell a rat.

The church have sought to expose the weakness they created by circulating the story and so provoking and guiding the debate alone their lines before the programme had ever been shown.

Such dirty tricks aren't the mark of innocent people.

Ah diddums, after poking a stick at people for weeks - insisting on the derogatory "cult" word when requested to not do so, he gets some concentrated fury back at him. Mere politeness would have caused most of us to refrain long before.

I learned this lesson when I was 8 - my father suggested I do NOT react when teased by my sister, and when I tried that, she went right into a fit of her own.

Forgive me if I think an "investigative reporter" for the august BBC should ply his trade in an impartial manner - by gratuitously insisting on insluting people who had willingly given up their time to see him, he proved himself to be a polemicist, not a reporter.

Now, when will some intrepid and fearless BBC hack do the same "investigating" at a crowded Finsbury Park Mosque ?

Wow, you really a scientologist? How do you feel about the fact that L Ron Hubbard said that the best "way to make a million dollars is to start a religion." just before he founded your church of errr.... well... utter sciencie fiction bollocks?

Science chappie..
I think you'll find Sweeney reported from the middle of Yugoslavia in the middle of a war for a number of months, repeatedly being shot at.
He's also been banned from Zimbabwe after carrying out some nifty reporting from there.
You also may want to check up the Angela Cannings story and see how the truth came to light. Same bloke.
Equally the pish about Madonna's favourite and equally nutty religion Kaballa. Same bloke.

Frankly, the nutjob from the Science Service was lucky he didn't have his agitating face punched in after demanding in a very loud voice on numerous occasions "you listen to me"

surely the fruit cakes from the scientology cult would accept the use of their own "fair game" tactics.

the snooping and digging into the past of anyone who questions their methods screams of insecurity in the poduct you are selling.

Well done Mr sweeney for holding your temper for so long in the face of such abusive behaviour.

Dizzy, Yep I fitted your last comment on L Ron in my piece on Panoram here:

Sweeney should not have lost it for sure, Paisley on crystal meth? I like that!

However there is no doubt that folks should avoid the Scientology people

I cerainly thought at first that he was deliberately shouting, due to the calm bit in the middle. I luv him. Can anyone find a link to a more complete clip, like showing just before & just after,, too? How did it pan out in the immediate aftermath, I wonder? Heehee, he looked like a volcano

Have you seen the scientology counter documentary. There is a link in the comments at b-bbc. It is an even more accomplished hatchet job than Sweeney managed.

If ever there were two organisations that deserve each other its got to be the BBC and Scientology.

There is a huge Church of Spiritual Technology symbol carved into the ground at Scientology's Trementina Base that is visible from passing aircraft or from satellite photography.[31] Washington Post reporter Richard Leiby wrote, "Former Scientologists familiar with Hubbard’s teachings on reincarnation say the symbol marks a 'return point' so loyal staff members know where they can find the founder’s works when they travel here in the future from other places in the universe."

the above from wikipedia. Assuming it is not propaganda from anti-Sci's, it reads like utter wank shite. I will have to check it out on google earth. L Ron: you're a funny (and rich) man!

Dizzy, watch what you say: they'll be after you, man!

Is the BBC run by scientologists?

Havers, I assume you are joking - if it was, it would be ethical not only in its rules, but in the application of them to its activities.

I dare you to view this great job of fisking John Sweeney :

I had scientologists over at my place when I started my campaign comparing Libdemologists to Scientologists as the latter hadn't bothered to book a stall at the LD away day to Blackpool and I postulated that that was because they were already culted up. the Scientologists thought that was unfair. The Libdemologists apparently didn't mine - they know it's true!

It's probably time to resume that one.

One's body is a mass of individual thetans stuck to oneself or
to the body.

One has to clean them off by running incident II and Incident I.
It is a long job, requiring care, patience and good auditing.
You are running beings. They respond like any preclear. Some
large, some small.

Thetans believed they were one. This is the primary error.
Good luck.
