Interesting post on Lib Dem Voice, have spotted the first bit of buried news and have accused the Goevrnment of breaking the law. Apparently, under the ruels of the ID Cards Bill they are supposed to publish a finanical report every six months. The last one should have been published on April 9th. Guess when it was published? Yep. Today. What awfully convenient timing given it's content says the cost has gone up by £640 million.
Update: Interest rates go up too. Great timing.
Update:Croydonian has spotted them actually making news up!

Blair habits die hard
Wow! 94%!
Hang on: ONCE? Over, er, 12 months? You ARE kidding, Tess?
I suprised that 6% managed to avoid (or not remeber) doing one of the things on the list. We really need to drill down here: what % engaged (according to Zanulabour definition) in sport'n'art, on a basis at least weekly?
