Action Man and Barbie at the NHS

Much fanfare today about the new NHS website which lets you search for doctors and hospital services based on your postcode and then provides maps and aerial photos of the hospital and surrounding area. Please note this is NOT the same as using Yell and Google Maps. You can't look at birds-eye view countrywide on the NHS site for a start.

You can also self-diagnose yourself too with the handy body maps. I imagine though if someone had, shall we say, an "itch" they might be confused as to how to get help. It's the end of urinary medicine as we know it!

I suppose that this is what the babies in the Evian advert will grow up to look like.

As the British are constantly assured that Britain is around 5% ethnic, why aren't both models white?

It's very good. I put in my postcode at work in Aberdeen and it gave me a hospital 200 miles away in England. Despite being nhs.uk it looks like it doesn't apply to Scotland.

As all immigrants number, according to deeply trustworthy New Labour, around 5%, that means we have 95% Caucasians living in Britain.

Therefore why, again, are not both people in the graphic indigenes?

Even with an innumerate abasement to immigrants, should not the largest "immigrant" group - the Pakistanis be the ones represented, rather than a black? We should see the man as being much shorter - rather than taller -and have a decorative little turban on his head. Also, he wouldn't be caught dead in the same graphic as a naked women. What would his wives say!

Bad marks all around!

I also notice that the ethnic is standing a bit behind her so as not to look threatening.
