We're taking your unborn child

The following is a recording of a Social Services officer from a Calderdale Council informing a couple that the Council will be taking her unborn baby into care as soon as it is born whilst also saying there is "no immediate risk to your child from yourselves".

The Telegraph is reporting that the Council is threatening legal action and demanding the recording be removed from YouTube.

So why are they threatening to take the child away the minute it's been born? Well for a start the partially sighted mother has apparently had a depression and has a "personality disorder" and the social workers believe the child will suffer "emotional abuse". The neighbours have also complained that the couple are disorderly with their lives.

The most bizarre thing here is that the Social Services freely admit they have no reason to suspect the child will be physically abused, sexually abused, mistreated, and as he's say on the tape, is at "no immediate risk from yourselves". So errr...why are they taking it again?

This is disgusting. What can we do? I have signed their petition. I'd give them money towards legal fees, if it would help. I've saved a hard copy of the vid from YouTube. If it gets taken down, I'll put it up again on other video sites, BitTorrent and Freenet. How else can we help?

Good God Almighty !! I'm totally gobsmacked.

What absolute unfeeling bastards!

They couldn't give a shit about other peoples' kids. They're just mediocre, self-important bloody jobsworth's with Centrally imposed adoption targets to meet - and pity the poor sods who haven't got the wherewithall to stand up to them.

As for legal action against UTube - try to hide behand the DPA when it suits eh? - or rather when they're exposed for the pompous little Hitlers they really are. Well Ha bloody Ha. I for one now have it on disk and I'll make damned sure it's available on all the bit torrent sites I can find.

And yet, when the social services in another case pulled out and allowed the mother to look after her child she stabbed the child to death before stabbing herself...It appears as though they interfere where they are not needed and don't intervene where they are needed...

It slike the couple in Cromer (North Norfolk) who made the news after Norfolk County Council finally let there new baby stay with them after they threatened removal. Norfolk CC had already removed and had adopted their three other children on the basis that the parents were "harming" the children. It subsequently was found out that al the children have inherited brittle bones diseaser, which is why they were bruised. Norfolk CC now admit they made an error, but the couple will never get their three oldest children back.

Norman Lamb MP and John Hemming MP have both been asking serious quesitons about the way social servies take children from parents in this way.

"So errr...why are they taking it again?"

Because they can.

And without the Internet, they would have nothing to fear at all, given the secrecy of the Family Court system....
