Oh how I enjoy reading what Norman Baker is up to in Parliament. He's a tenacious bugger who loves to ask awkward questions and sometimes gets the most bizarre of answers.
Take for example his question yesterday where he asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Ed Miliband,"what information has been requested of his Department under the [Freedom of Information] Act in the last six months." Answer? "It is not the Government's normal practice to disclose details of the content of such requests."
Errmmm hang on second, the Government says it is not "normal pratice" to disclose what information has been requested from them under the Freedom of Information Act? The FoI Act requires them to have a publication scheme on the information requested of them. Is Milband now saying that "normal practice" is above their own law?

That is a normal Sir H answer. It did not address the question which was what information had been requested - not what the replies were - which Sir H addressed!

These laws are always just PR exercises as it is impossible to legislate against the 'waffle factor'.
All your posts show you are ignorant of the law which says that whatever the law, it does not apply to the Labour Party.

He wasn't asking for details of the contents of the REQUEST...
HE MADE THE REQUEST!!!
He wanted an ANSWER to the request! This is possibly the greatest non-answer in the history of politics!
