Public apology to private smackdown

It would appear I am an absolute arsehead of a hypocrite. Having berated Mark Clarke for actively turning his back on me and others so that he could pontificate on his own greatness I have been informed that I may have ignored a hand extended to me to be shaken the other night by the blogger and CF exec candidate Anatasia Beaumont-Bott.

This post is a public apology for that, and a public guarantee that should our paths meet again in any circumstances she is to slap me round the face (preferably not too hard) for it and request that I buy her at least two drinks. Manners really do cost nothing and it's only right that I should apologise to her here. Sorry.

Update: Having spoken to Anatasia on the phone it would appear that I am probably not the person that failed to shake her hand when offered. It was a lobbyist. I did however fail to say hello to her so the slap around the face offer has been removed but the drinks remain. I still feel guilty, but thankfully not quite such an arsehead of a hypocrite. Bob Piper probably still wants to slap me though. Such desires of violence from an elected politician! Shame! Resign!

Apparently ABB is all of 5'1, so maybe you just did not see her.

Anyway, it is man of you to 'fess up.

hmm...Mark Clarke - don't get me started

The quicker he's elected, the quicker CF can get on with more worthwhile things than pandering to his every need

I'll be impressed when you admit you're wrong to someone who is not a Tory.

If a tree falls down in the forest and no one is there to hear it does it make sound?
