The woman in white

This is a call for help to anyone in Blackpool who may be reading this. Who was the mysterious blonde woman in her forties stannding outside the Imperial at approximately 8.15am? She was wearing slippers and white towel dressing gown and had a white bath towel over her shoulder. Clearly she didn't have a pass but I'm wondering what the reaction of the vast hordes of hacks was as she walked out the hotel. More importantly I want to know why she did it. It's not exactly Irish Sea swimming weather. Maybe she shimmied a drainpipe in a fast getaway?

Wilkie Collins was eating opium when he saw this ghostly figure Dizzy. It is often ascribed to early onset dementia brought on by narcotics

You are doing drugs agains aren`t you ? Well ?!

N - a vile calumny against the Dizzster. I saw the spectral woman too.

These things are sent to confuse us, Dizzy.

Oh couldn’t possibly be drugs then . I `m just so totally reassured now that I know Croydonian also saw a translucent wraith in her nightie . I mean a bastion of corporeal purity such as him …etc…ad infinitum.

It wasn't a woman - it was Iain who'd been sleep walking from his hotel 5 miles away looking for his next free meal. Didn't you recognise the lilac-coloured nail varnish and the hairnet?
