(Former) MP behaving badly?

Have just read this old Comment is Free piece by the former Labour MP for Peterborough Helen Clark. The article was about the death of Fiona Jones, the former Labour MP for Newark who had an alcohol issue..... Then I watched Helen Clark on YouTube.

What was that word she used at the beginning?

Update: According to reports in today's papers, Helen Clark is threatening legal action against the person that posted this video on YouTube and presumably YouTube itself. I would expect the video to be removed from the site very shortly today. Am a little confused how there is a defamation case though as reported here. There is nothing untruthful about the video. Perhaps a lawyer could pass opinion in the comments.

Not at all pleasant. I wish you hadn't played it. How on earth did it get up on YouTube in the first place. Poor lady. Poor family.

The hotel staff should be grateful she didn't cover the place in vomit as she once did with the Press Gallery Bar at the Commons.

Wow, that's a new fucking low in blogging. Any chance that you'll produce a youtube video of a car crash, with the victim crying out for relief and you making 'fun' comments about them being a 'leftie'? You really, really need to reconsider your blog's title. You can't _think_ about anything past pushing party politics - have you ever tried to think about publishing some funny video with some downs syndrome kids trying to do a jigsaw? As long as they're lefties, it would be a laugh-riot! Go for it Phil, you can do it! We'll all support you, I promise.

Fuck that. Consider giving up blogging - seriously.

I didn't post the video on the Internet, I've linked to it. And it's not a low at all. Well I guess it is if you think blogs are new and not just websites. If you really want to look at car crashes or other such stuff then best you go off to rotten.com

Incidentally, why is this post considered to be about party politics? It's merely a factual statement about who she is. Had the video been of a Tory I would have posted it. I'm actually more anti-Government than anything else, and when the Tories get in you'll see that to be the case.

Just buy her another double vodka - then they'll be her 'besht mates, forevva..'...

"Perhaps a lawyer could pass opinion in the comments. "

She doesn't need a lawyer. She needs a spell in a drying out clinic. And 'Pete C' needs to get out more himself.

Just another note for Pete C and how this all about party politics. Helen Clark left Labour when she lost her seat and made a formal announcement of her plan to defect to the Tories. Check the BBC website.

thanks for posting this Dizzy.. only goes to prove even further what a strange and weird lot these "MPs" are...

since 80 per cent of our laws are now made in Brussels, a wholesale culling of these lunatics is way overdue.
