How bizarre. A businessman and entrepreneur comes out for Brown in the Sun. Perhaps he's angling for a job like the one Digby Jones has or something? Who knows. Very odd though, Sugar says people don't know why they think Brown is rubbish.
Let's see for a second shall we. Creating a complex systems of benefits tax credits which means those on low income see increases in wage tax at a rate above 70%? Taking a Mussolini type economic attitude towards funding Government building programmes such that the debt is hidden off the countries balance books?
Selling gold when it was rock bottom? Ignoring the advice of the Treasury over his pensions raid and then finding himself up against pensioners? Presiding over a Government domestically that cannot handle data? Constantly rolling out statistics that are usually complete baloney, also known as Brownies? The list is endless really.

Doesn't surprise me at all, I always thought he was a complete twat. Being rich doesn't exclude the possibility of that. I reckon he's worked out Brown has two years left and he can cream some nice taxpayers cash in that two years..

Nor me. He's just a jumped -up barrow boy. Smart enough to sell car radios and aerials but not quick-witted enough to make it onto a trading floor in the City.

Perfectly in tune with the public then. When everyone else is cross with rising fuel and food prices, combined with a crumbling property market and a looming recession, Alan Sugar is fed up with people being angry at the man who has caused it all. For a businessman, he has an amazingly poor grasp of economics.
NOT ONE of the reasons given by your good self is the real reason for the unpopularity of the Labour incumbent at this moment. The YouGov poll shows that it is not personal, it shows that benefit reforms are popular enough even with DEs and Labour voters, and it shows that this is the 11-year-itch that should've taken out Major. But did not.
Hopefully this will be HIS.....Gerald Ratner moment........the arrogant tosser.

You're actually flattering the system. Marginal tax rates are as high as 95% as income increases. See this official publication.

Oh, I've known of Alan Sugar since his days of making really btatty "hi-fi" stuff and computers that couldn't even keep up with touch typists.
He is an East Ender type, a nasty person to encounter (as I have done, and witnessed how he treated his employees) so will naturally be a Labour supporter. Therefore this is no surprise. The BBC gave him considerable air time on their news channel, and it is all of a piece -- so predictable.
Britain doesn't need any of them -- Sugar, any of the Labour Party, or the BBC. They're all rubbish.
Expect an amstrad pc on every desk in whitehall.

We know Gordon is shit, the cabinet (despite their protestations) know Gordon is shit, the electorate know Gordon is shit, and the Labour rank and file know Gordon is shit. Only a moron would say different.
What a disappointment. He could have made himself so much more popular if instead of that long-winded piece of guff he wrote he'd stuck to his catch phrase:
"Gordon, You're Fired!"
