Mark Clarke: Womaniser and general bastard?

There is an interesting article in the Mail on Sunday this morning about Mark Clarke, the Tory PPC for Tooting, "Tatler Tory is a deceitful womaniser who isn't fit to be an MP, says his ex-girlfriend".

What can I say, being turned over in the Sundays couldn't have happened to a nicer person. I am truly gutted for Mark who once displayed the most unbelievable arrogance and "up his own arse" attitude towards me and a couple of others.

Of course, Mark has denied all the allegations that he had sex with a hooker, as you'd expect.

Presumably no-one likes to pay for sex with hookers... but these women are unlikely to give him freebies are they?

As soon as I saw the headline, I knew the story would be about him. He just looks so utterly utterly smug.

we know someone he shared a flat with. His dealings with his flatmates, sexually and finacially, were a wonder to behold.

Sounds perfectly qualified to be an MP.

Looks like the little oik is destined to go far in politics.

I've never met a single person in CF who does not think Mark Clarke is an absolute cunt. I'll keep looking though...

"Miss Gill, who lives in Tooting, met him in May after responding to one of his leaflet campaigns on the NHS, a subject close to her heart."

Yeeeess, as Mr Paxman might say - they seem to rather deserve each other...

Still good to see that the 'Karma Police' are still enforcing the 'what goes around, comes around' adage...

The best bit is that those awful sh!ts at the Mail On Sunday didn't even have to pay for this character assassination ! Excellente !

And I bet they didn't ask too many questions, or try to dual source too many of the allegations either...

The Mail On Sunday might be a sewer of sleaze and disreputable journalism, but gadzooks, it does have its uses sometimes..

Now what about getting Derek bloody Draper in the crosshairs ?

You should actually read what you link to, to avoid making libellious claims. He told his ex-girlfriend that an EX paid for a hooker for him. The mail on Sunday does not allege that "he likes to pay for sex with hookers", so he can't have denied it. That is your own invention, and I would suggest you be a bit more careful.

No wonder he has to consort with prostitutes, what self-respecting woman would be seen with that twat?

Has he denied the rumour that he gives women a feedback survey to complete after he has sex with them?

I don't care about the whores , so what ,if you tell me that he is personally known to you as a wanker that good enough for me.
I am going to pick this up . Lets see if we cannot make an exmaple of someone who clearly feels people are not worth courtesy a quality which I detest.

He could of course be slimy and useless. I don't know. I do know any Tory candidates posing for the Tattler deserves all they get.

But if having sex with a hooker (admittedly a high class one) was a bar to high office we would not have won the Battle of Trafalgar.

And if sleeping around were the same bar, then we would not have won the Peninsular War, let alone the Battle of Waterloo.

And whilst I am not saying he was any good (indeed quite the opposite), would Lloyd George have become Chancellor of the Exchequer and then Prime Minister

I do not know if this guy has made any moralising pronouncements, but on the assumption that he has not then his private life is not anybodies business.

Hypocrisy is a resigning matter - and on that basis we would have a pretty regular turn over of Fleet Street editors.

Anon 13:48, will you please stay away from my defence team if ever I'm in the dock.

"My client er, boasted, that one ex-girlfriend paid for him to have sex with someone else and yet she STILL insisted on taking the Rohypnol" is no way to protect a reputation.

Actually, Dizzy, he emphatically did not deny sleeping with a hooker. He denied paying her for her services - which wasn't the allegation. The allegation reported in the Mail on Sunday was that his former girlfriend had paid for a hooker to sleep with him.

But he has made such pronouncements.

From the article in the Mail: "Nurse Sarah Gill ... claimed Mr Clarke who is campaigning to clean up a red light district in the South London constituency he aims to represent ..."

I would like to say for the record, I am female and shared a house with Mark and he was never anything but a gentleman. We lived together a while year there was no sign of him doing ANYTHING underhand, sometimes people just like to knock those who are doing well.

I know Mark personally and see first hand how hard he works in Tooting and for the Conservative Party on a wider basis. He has worked tirelessly for his campaign in Tooting and really does care passionately about the constituency and its residents.

It's clear to me that this is yet another example of the media knocking someone who is actually making a go of it and being successful. Shameful opportunism by the Mail on Sunday and those who have subsequently jumped on the bandwagon to knock Mark.

"and those who have subsequently jumped on the bandwagon to knock Mark."

If you're deluded enough to believe this 'bandwagon' wasn' already rolling LONG before then I pity you.

Clarke may have his supporters BUT there is a lengthy list of people who cannot stand this detestable, vile, repugnant and arrogant piece of crap.

I HOPE that this leads to him being dropped as a PPC as he really is the wrong image for the Conservative Party.

I have only ever heard one person really stick up for Mark Clarke, and surprise surprise she'd slept with him a couple of times but then she was a power hungry whore too (and again, he didn't pay her - if you guess the name, I'll give you a cookie) and saw him as someone she could use later on.

I have had the displeasure of meeting him quite a few times and having access to and the oily toad has always repulsed me.

GET CLARKE OUT.

I wouldn't piss on the bastard if he was on fire.

"sometimes people just like to knock those who are doing well."

Fuck off. The only reason he is doing well for himself is because he leeched off others, who received no gratitude in return.

Those people who are nice to his face, even though privately they'll admit he's a cunt, are just as contemptible as he is.

No wonder half of CCHQ is sympathetic towards Sadiq Khan.

Jesus, some of you have no lives.

I've met Mark a few times and is actually a decent guy.

Nobody's perfect and maybe some of you should take a closer look at yourselves before judging others.

I know Mark and a big group of his mates and I don't think he's ever let any of them down....which is probably more than can be said for some of the people writing shit on here!

Good luck Mark!

Someone said earlier that he hadn't met anyone if CF who like him.Well you've just found one.I have met him several times and have always thought he was a good bloke. What he does in his private life is his business and his business alone (as long as he does not break the law.)

He would make a great MP if the good people of Tooting feel that he is their guy.

The Mail has just shown why it is glorified toilet paper.......again.

Just got the latest Pravda from the local Conservatives through...seems Mark is engaged to another blonde girl who works locally for the NHS! Can't wait for her tales in due course.

Also we had a choice line where he claimed that he liked having an open primary as he wasn't involved in politics, >>"For someone like me who was local but had a business background rather than a political background"

ROFL- he was CF national Chairman for goodness sake.
