Harriet Harman website hit by recession?

I've just been corresponding by email with Jon Worth, the Labour blogger who looks after Harriet Harman's personal website and blog.

It would appear the site is offline and I was curious why. Jon has let me know, presumably so I wouldn't speculate it had something to do with the ongoing Speaker story.

Apparently the hosting company has gone bust which I found particularly ironic as it probably happened due to the recession caused by the Government to which Harmen is essentially deputy leader.

Dizzy, please tell me that "Harriet Harmen" is not the plural of "Harriet Harman. I can only stomach one of her!

As for her website, she's got some of her own medicine, clearly.

I find it hard to believe they don’t have back up pages & hosts ready to go, after all, they’ve spent enough on web sites!
She doesn’t seem to have much luck with computers, passwords, etc does she? Poor thing! A bit clueless really isn’t she?

@ T England - yes we damned well do have backups! That's why the site is back up as it was before. But you try getting a domain name from a bankrupt firm. It's not fun.

And Dizzy - interesting to see that you didn't post about this. Perhaps more major.
