Virgin media are to trial deep packet inspection from CView to "measure" the level of illegal file sharing on its network. 40% of its network will be monitored and the system will identify what it believe to be peer-to-peer traffic and then you packet inspection to see if it contains copyright infringed material.
It will be interesting to see if there's a massive rise in IPSec tunneling as a result.
